Mentorship
The AnchorSTEM Scholars receive close mentoring from professionals in their respective fields, providing personalized guidance to help them grow both academically and professionally.
Appreciation Event
The AnchorSTEM appreciation event honors and recognizes the support network that surrounds the scholars. The event has been hosted three times and has brought together scholars, mentors, friends, family, and community partners to celebrate the power of community. Scholars are given the opportunity to connect with other cohorts and engage in activities that highlight the importance of support.
Faculty Community of Practice
Through collaboration with the Center for Educational Excellence and Student Support Services, scholars fostered faculty development through community sessions. They discussed, brainstormed, and shared ideas connected to teaching and learning and informed USD’s faculty of their thoughts.
