AnchorSTEM at the University of San Diego
is committed to sustaining and strengthening partnerships with pre-college serving community organizations to establish a reciprocal, ongoing mechanism to support the retention, graduation, and success in STEM of local Rising Stars.

I understand much more deeply how valuable relationships and connections to community are. I have learned a great amount about myself and how much I can achieve if I am truly passionate about it. It takes a village and AnchorSTEM, both scholars and team have been an essential part of that village.

Being part of AnchorSTEM has motivated me to work harder... As a refugee, with English as my second language, pursuing a STEM major can be intimidating, but I refuse to let that hold me back. I want to pave the way for the younger generation...showing them that they can achieve their dreams and goals.
